Kubacki wins in Titisee-Neustadt

Dawid Kubacki confirms his strong form and wins both competitions from the large hill in Titisee-Neustadt. The special classification of the „Titisee-Neustadt-5"; goes to Ryoyu Kobayashi. Karl Geiger stays in the yellow jersey.

After the two competitions from the normal hill in Predazzo, Italy, this weekend in the Black Forest, the jumpers jumped again from the large hill. The Pole Dawid Kubacki confirmed his strong form once again. On Saturday the Austrian Stefan Kraft jumped to second place in very fair wind conditions. Only 0. 9 points behind, the Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi finished third. As the best German team Stephan Leyhe and Constantin Schmid shared fifth place. The leader of the overall World Cup Karl Geiger finished 12th.

The second World Cup on Sunday was characterized by difficult conditions, which Dawid Kubacki again coped best with and secured his second day's victory with a 0. 3 point lead just ahead of Ryoyu Kobayashi. Third place went to the Slovenian Timi Zajc. Stephan Leyhe just missed the podium again with a good fourth place. Karl Geiger finished fifth and thus kept his yellow jersey as overall World Cup leader.

The special classification of the „Titisee-Neustadt-5"; was secured by Ryoyu Kobayashi with his good placements and winning the qualification on Friday.

Next Friday the World Cup will continue in Zakopane, Poland.
