Qualification victory for Ryo Kobayashi in Bischofshofen

2024-01-05 · 18:09

The Japanese athlete wins the qualification on the Paul-Außerleitner-Schanze and secures an optimal starting position for tomorrow's decision.

After the avalanche in mid-December, the ski jump was in perfect condition just in time for the 72nd Four Hills Tournament. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the helpers once again!

Top conditions on the hill for the last qualification day. It started with two training rounds, in which Japan's Ryōyū Kobayashi and Austria's Clemens Aigner achieved the best jumps.

The Japanese then secured the subsequent qualification victory and 3,000 Swiss francs. With a jump of 138.0 meters and 162.6 points, he clearly beat the overall World Cup leader Stefan Kraft (154.8 points) and his compatriot Clemens Aigner (153.0 points).

Great excitement is expected tomorrow when it comes to choosing the overall winner of the tour!

It starts at 15:00 with the trial run. The knockout duels will then take place at 16:30!
