The Bergisel Jumping in Innsbruck had to be cancelled due to strong gusts of wind. It will be made up for on 05.01.2022 in Bischofshofen.
No winner will be crowned in Innsbruck this year. Already in the morning it became apparent that the wind would make a fair competition difficult. After the trial round, which was originally scheduled for 12 noon, was already cancelled, hopes for a timely first round faded. The jury moved the start of the first round from 1:30 p.m. back several times before the final cancellation of the competition at shortly before 3 p.m. The third jumping will be made up in Bischofshofen. The schedule is as follows:
05.01.2022: Make-up date Innsbruck (in Bischofshofen).
11:30 a.m.: Training (only one round)
13:00 h: Qualification
16:30 h: Competition
For Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi a 5th place at the Epiphany Jumping in Bischofshofen is enough for an unchallenged victory in the overall ranking.
It couldn't be more beautiful for all Austrians. Daniel Huber wins the last jumping event in Bischofshofen on home ground.
A very unusual ski jumping day with a well-known winner is behind us. Training, qualification and competition and all that in only one day - the post race victory was again won by Ryoyu Kobayashi from Japan.
