Two Slovenian victories in Oberstdorf
Two Slovenians won the first Ski Flying World Cup of the season.

With changing winds in Oberstdorf, Norway's Johann André Forfang won the first qualification with 220.3 points. He was followed by Domen Prevc (220.2 points) and Michael Hayboeck (217.6 points). The overall World Cup leader Daniel Tschofenig finished in seventh place with 210 points. Ryoyu Kobayashi (213.1 points) also put down an exclamation mark in the qualification, finishing in fourth place.

Timi Zajc achieved his fourth victory in Oberstdorf with 453.7 points. Behind him was the qualification winner Daniel André Forfang (448.6 points). Domen Prevc came third (444.9 points). Daniel Tschofenig finished fourth (444.1 points) ahead of Ryoyu Kobayashi (424.3 points).

Saturday's winner won the qualification on Sunday with 218.4 points ahead of Daniel Tschofenig (214.0 points) and Domen Prevc (211.7 points). With changing winds again, Domen Prevc took the lead. With jumps of 226.5 and 231.5 metres, he won the competition with 436.8 points. Daniel André Forfang (433.2 points) came in second again. Austria's Michael Hayboeck came third (429.1 points). Gregor Deschwanden delivered the longest jump of the competition with 234.5 metres, finishing in ninth place.
