With jumps of 108 and 104.5 meters, Lindvik claimed the world championship title on the normal hill. His 265.5 points were just enough to edge out the strong Andreas Wellinger (263.2 points). Bronze went to Austria’s Jan Hörl (256.3 points).
Lindvik laid the foundation for his victory in the first round, where he built a small lead over Wellinger. In the final jump, both athletes maintained their high level, but the Norwegian managed to defend his narrow advantage to secure the gold medal.
For Lindvik, this marks his third major individual success, following his Olympic gold on the large hill in 2022 and his Ski Flying World Championship title the same year. The German ski jumpers showed significant improvement on the rarely used normal hill: Alongside Wellinger, Karl Geiger was also in contention for a medal but ultimately finished in fourth place.
