Garmisch Partenkirchen: Jan Hoerl wins qualification

Jan Hoerl won the qualification of the New Year's ski jumping competition. His teammates Daniel Tschofenig and Michael Hayböck came second and third.

The current tour leader Stefan Kraft finished in eleventh place.

Ren Nikaido delivered the longest jump of the day with 139 meters, coming eighth in the final ranking. Pius Paschke finished one place behind him in the yellow bib.
