The first qualification round of this year's Four Hills Tournament in Oberstdorf concluded with a quintuple victory for Austria. Daniel Tschofenig (167.5 points) emerged as the shining winner ahead of his teammates Stefan Kraft (164.8 points), Michael Hayboeck (162.3 points), Jan Hoerl (157.3 points), and Maximilian Ortner (156.2 points).
Pius Paschke, the current overall leader, secured sixth place with 154.9 points. The 2020 Tournament winner Dawid Kubacki, however, failed to qualify for tomorrow's competition, scoring only 109.3 points. The ski jumping arena in Oberstdorf celebrated a record crowd of 16,500 spectators, surpassing last year’s world record for a qualification event.
